Using songs that are both traditional and contemporary, Jeni explores women's lives from childhood to old age with humor and pathos. This program is primarily for entertainment - mostly music, not much lecture beyond a brief narrative setting each song in its particular context. Many of the songs have choruses to sing along with. It is a program that appeals mainly to women of all ages, but that does not preclude it being of interest to men as well. It makes a wonderful centerpiece for special events for women's groups, such as church groups, AAUW year-end events, ladies' teas, or any organization focused on women's issues. |
